Q&A with Elaine Webb: General Manager
Here at Lustalux, we’ve always prided ourselves on having an amazing team of talented individuals that together, have been the driving force behind our significant growth and success across the UK.
Our General Manager, Elaine Webb, pictured above, has been a core member of the team for over 17 years now. In her own words, she ‘oversees the geniuses at work’ so we thought it would only be fair to shine the spotlight on her for a change to reveal all you need to know about the leading lady who keeps the Lustalux ship sailing…
How did you get involved in the industry?
Escaping baby brain my daughter was nine months old when I decided I wanted to get back into work. I’d moved back to Preston from London so it was a fresh start in several ways for me. I joined Lustalux in 2001 and this was my first introduction to the industry. I had never come across window film before, took it for granted that blue, silver and bronze windows was the glass and not applied film.
What was your role prior?
Prior to joining Lustalux I’d always worked for large corporations and spent six years in customer service for insurance and telecommunications companies.
What does your role entail?
My role is varied and every day is different. I get involved with all areas of the business from initial sales enquiries right through to finance. I could be dealing with HR issues then customer enquiries, preparing for a quality audit, or leading a team meeting which for me- although cliché- keeps me interested.
Is there anything else you’d like to add?
Having Directors and colleagues who are approachable, encouraging, accommodating and supportive is our best quality. Our Team is our best asset. (there she goes again ‘cliché’ )
