Shop Front Signs – Project Background
It’s always nice to play an intrinsic part in the launch and signage of a new enterprise. When Preston based optometrists Broadhurst Optometrists decided to open a new branch just down the road in Lytham St Annes, Lustalux was brought in by the shop fitting contractors and the interior designer to add our expertise to the proceedings.
Hoarding Signage
The first task was to make use of the external builders hoarding while the entire fit-out was taking place. For this, we supplied printed aluminium composite panels (often known as “Dibond” or ACM sheet cladding) complete with Broadhurst’s own distinctive branding. As signage hoarding can often look industrial and functional this was an ideal cosmetic marketing opportunity to herald the forthcoming exciting new premises. Hoarding can be laminated after printing to create a protective layer.
We offer three laminate choices: matt finish, gloss finish, and a hi-gloss anti-graffiti film that is ideal for high traffic or secluded areas where vandalism of hoarding signage is likely. Bespoke site hoarding board printing is a great way of using your perimeter fence as an advertising tool.
Dibond® is the industry’s leading aluminium composite material (ACM). It is comprised of two pre-painted sheets of . 012″ (. 30mm) aluminium with a solid polyethylene core.
Wall Murals
Once the fit-out contractors had completed the internal layout of the store we moved inside to add some finishing touches. We installed two large wall murals that we had printed back in our Preston graphics studio. These were images of two major Lytham landmarks – the club house at the world famous Royal Lytham golf course, the venue for several major golf events including The Open and the iconic Lytham windmill situated on Lytham Green. Our large format printers can reproduce any image onto adhesive vinyl or sheet materials. Wall murals are great for creating a quick high-impact graphic to communicate your brand or add a visitor message to an area of your business.
Acrylic Signs
Other finishing touches were a Broadhurst logo sign in Acrylic with text and some “fun” type wall vinyls adding to the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere within the premises.
External Signage
Once the internal “magic” was being shielded from prying eyes work began in creating a contemporary, inviting exterior and interior to the premises.
Light up Lettering
To the exterior of the store we installed built-up flat faced acrylic text with polished stainless steel bonded to the face of the letters finished off with white LED illumination. In addition to this we also installed an aluminium projecting sign, visible to anyone approaching the shop from either side and an illuminated acrylic logo
Illuminated Signage
A stunning façade especially when viewed at night with the help of the LED sign lighting. The main shop front sign was illuminated with a techinique known as Halo illuminated signage.
