Approved NHS Signage contractors
We are proud to have a strong relationship with Healthcare Support & Infrastructure Services, having carried out a number of projects for them in the past.
When the NHS approached us with a new signage manufacture and installation project, we were excited at the opportunity to work with them again.
As Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust, and Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust were rebranding under a new single Trust, a full rebrand was required. They asked us to undertake responsibility for updating and replacing all existing signage at multiple NHS sites.
We started by visiting each site to carry out a survey of existing signage. Then we produced artwork proofs for the project managers to review and approve, before manufacturing and installing all replacement signage with the new Trust branding.
This is an ongoing project which will eventually extend to over 100 sites across Lancashire and South Cumbria.
What are the challenges faced when replacing signs after a rebrand?
Maintaining a consistent look and feel across all signs is crucial. In multi-location businesses, ensuring that every sign follows the new brand guidelines—colours, fonts, logos, and messaging—can be difficult. Inconsistent signage can dilute the brand message and confuse customers.
Replacing signage can be expensive, especially if it involves multiple locations, large signs, or specialized materials. Balancing the budget while ensuring quality signage that reflects the new brand image is a challenge.
Changing signage can disrupt business operations, especially in retail or public-facing environments. Managing the timing of installations to minimize customer confusion or downtime is essential for a smooth transition.
Coordinating the production, delivery, and installation of new signs across multiple locations involves complex logistics. Delays in any part of this process can affect the overall timeline of the rebranding effort.
A rebrand can be confusing for existing customers. It’s essential to communicate the reason for the change and ensure that signage reflects the new brand’s values and messaging to maintain customer loyalty.
Disposing of old signage, especially large or illuminated signs, can have environmental implications. Ensuring that materials are recycled or disposed of properly is an additional consideration in the rebranding process.
Addressing these issues requires careful planning, budgeting, and coordination to ensure a successful and smooth rebranding transition.
