Who invented Reeded Glass

When you want to add a unique touch of style to a room, you can accomplish that goal by installing reeded glass film in the window. Developed by German glassmakers in the 1920s, this pattern adds a striking look to your windows that complements any decor. It has many advantages, such as creating cool panoramas and reducing the invasion of sunlight into your kitchen.

Kitchen Applications

A reeded glass pattern has distinct ridges running along its outer edge. This design adds aesthetic value to your kitchen. It also makes it easier to clean- simply wipe it with a damp cloth to remove stubborn molds and grime. Reeded glass film is easy to maintain, which makes it easy to keep your windows looking good for extended periods of time. Plus, installing reeded glass film in your kitchen doubles as a safety measure- it reduces the risk of injury when cooking and preparing food.

Glass Splashbacks in the Kitchen

Reeded glass is also a great choice for making a cool kitchen splashback. The unique pattern creates dynamic views that are both beautiful and unique. You can also use it for fanciful lighting effects when you’re baking in your kitchen at night. Just place a few candles on your countertops, add some battery-powered lights and you’ll have a lovely spot for making cookies or soup all day long.

Reeded Glass kitchen cabinet doors
