We offer a wide selection of window film accessories that can make fitting films a breeze. Lustalux accessories are ideal for mirror window film as they won't scratch the surface of the film, stained glass films and all of our other window film products. We selected the most suitable accessories that our Lustalux fitters would use themselves. We also provide spray bottles to clean your windows before fitting the film and safety knives to cut excess window film smoothly without tearing.

What is required to fit window films? 

Washing up liquid, Spray bottle, Squeegee, Craft knife, Glass scraper, Straight edge, Tape measure, soft lint free cloth. 

Take Care when applying window film. 

Window film is a very thin sheet of material that requires handling with care. Creasing & folding must be avoided. Glass film applications need to be carried out in a draught & dust-free situation. 

Surface preparation of your window is very important. 

Care must be taken to flush any dirt particles out of the window frame. Some airborne dust may get under the window film, but this is difficult to avoid completely & its presence will not affect the performance of the installation.

The best tool for smaller jobs is the mini tool application kit. This comes with all the tools you’ll need for seamless window film installation.

For larger jobs over 1 square metre we would recommend using larger tools like the professional window squeegee.
