Commercial window film, signage & architectural film in Preston
Preston is home to Lustalux's headquarters and project team. From our base on Chain Caul Way we deliver specialist window film, signage, graphics and architectural-film projects for commercial buildings across Preston, Lancashire and the wider UK.
Our local work ranges from Preston landmarks and healthcare environments to offices, education, care facilities, retail and industrial premises. Headquartered in Preston. Delivering specialist commercial projects locally and across the UK.
Whether the requirement is solar control, office privacy, glass manifestation, specialist safety film, commercial signage or resurfacing existing interiors, our Preston team can survey the site, specify the appropriate solution and coordinate installation around the building. Survey, specify, approve, programme, install and hand over.
Photos, drawings and glazing information can be described in the enquiry or sent once we are in contact — the current form does not accept file uploads.

Lustalux headquarters in Preston
Unlike several other city pages, Preston is a genuine Lustalux business location — not a service-area label. The head office, project team and commercial delivery sit at Anchorage Business Park. Typical response on the published contact pages is 24 hours. Arrange any visit through the project team rather than treating the site as a public showroom.

What does your Preston project need to solve?
This page owns commercial work in Preston and Lancashire, then routes you to the relevant service or sector. Occupier briefs remain on the sector pages; product specification remains on the service pages.

Commercial window film installation in Preston
Our Preston team specifies commercial window film around the existing glazing and the problem that needs solving. Glass type, coatings, orientation, solar exposure, privacy requirements, appearance and any required safety performance all affect the correct film selection. This is not automotive tinting and it is not a domestic window-tint page. See window film.
Solar control
Can reduce solar energy and glare through suitable commercial glazing, specified around the existing glass.
Privacy
Frost, reeded, gradient and other privacy treatments for partitions, meeting rooms and commercial interiors.
Decorative film
Reeded, coloured reeded, frost, gradient and bespoke effects on suitable flat glazing.
Manifestation
Designed around applicable glazing-visibility requirements and the wider project design.
Safety / security
Tested film systems for defined impact, fragment-retention and specialist security requirements.
Reduce solar heat and glare through commercial glazing
Solar-control film can reduce solar energy and glare entering through suitable glazing. It does not regulate room temperature, guarantee energy savings, eliminate air-conditioning or perform identically across every film. See commercial solar control. Preston has unusually strong local proof through the Harris Museum.

Harris Museum, Preston
Protecting Preston's collections through specialist glazing
At the Harris Museum in Preston, Lustalux was asked to address solar and UV exposure through glazed roof areas above sensitive collections. The project required an externally applied commercial film selected around the glazing and conservation requirements of the building.
Sentinel Stainless Steel 15 OSW was specified for this roof-atria package. Product data for that named film records 99% UV reduction and over 60% heat-gain reduction. Those figures belong to this specified film, not to every solar-control product. The work sat within the museum's conservation brief; Lustalux does not grant listed-building consent.

Window film, graphics and signage across Preston landmarks
Three recognisable buildings in Lustalux's home city, each specified within a wider construction or conservation project rather than as a generic commercial overlay.

- Preston Covered Market. Manifestation incorporating the city lamb crest, plus etched graphics and signage.

Privacy and decorative glazing for Preston workplaces
Meeting rooms, partitions and reception glazing can be treated with frost, gradient, reeded, coloured reeded, branded or printed graphics. Preston Bus Station
Specialist glazing work within a Preston landmark
The listed Brutalist bus station underwent renovation from 2016 with Conlon Construction as main contractor. Lustalux contributed safety film to existing 1960s glazing, manifestation designed around applicable glazing-visibility requirements, and graphics and signage within that contractor package. This is not a claim that every pane was brought up to every current regulation. See construction and fit-out.

Preston Covered Market
Bringing local identity into glass manifestation
Manifestation at the Covered Market incorporated the Preston city lamb crest, with etched window graphics and signage. Manifestation does not have to be generic dots. See glass manifestation.
Specialist glazing protection for Preston buildings
Tested film systems available for defined safety, fragment-retention and specialist security requirements. Specification depends on existing glass, film, frame, attachment, location and required performance. Film does not make glass unbreakable, prevent all injury, or become automatically compliant. See security and safety film. Preston Bus Station is local existing-building safety-film proof.

CPC Preston
Large-format commercial signage on our doorstep
CPC is a Preston-based electronics supplier that originally approached Lustalux looking for a Preston signage company. Three flex-face illuminated LED signs were installed, the largest 15 metres by 3 metres, and an existing illuminated sign was refurbished.
That is local industrial and commercial proof of large-scale illumination and sign refurbishment — not a maintenance-free claim. See industrial and commercial.
View CPC PrestonRefresh Preston commercial interiors without unnecessary replacement
Where the underlying substrate remains suitable, architectural film can provide another refurbishment route before replacing an item solely because its decorative finish has become dated. That can retain the existing substrate, reduce strip-out, limit replacement components and allow phased works in suitable applications. It is not universally sustainable, zero waste, maintenance-free or downtime-free, and we do not publish percentage savings on this page. See architectural film, internal architectural film and exterior architectural film.

David Thomas salon, Preston
One Preston commercial project across signs, glass and surfaces
For David Thomas's Preston salon, Lustalux combined architectural film, exterior signage and solar-control film within one commercial opening programme. A Cover Styl' brushed-gold finish was sampled on a workstation first. The relocated reception desk was wrapped between Saturday close and Tuesday opening rather than replaced solely for a decorative finish.
That is local proof of the page's glass + signs + surfaces proposition. Reusing the desk is a project-specific benefit, not a universal cost or landfill claim.

Royal Preston Hospital
Refurbishment inside a live Royal Preston Hospital department
At Royal Preston Hospital, Lustalux combined wall graphics, window graphics and architectural film around an operational A&E environment, including resurfacing the existing reception desk. Much of the work was carried out while the department remained open.
That demonstrates local healthcare, live-site working and a joined-up graphics and surface package. It is not a healthcare-outcome claim and it is not a promise of zero disruption.

Harris Museum, Preston Bus Station and the Covered Market show specialist film, graphics and signage specified within the requirements of the wider heritage or conservation project. Architects, conservation officers, building owners and applicable approvals govern that wider project. Lustalux does not independently grant conservation approval, and there is no such thing on this page as “heritage compliant film.”
Specialist support for Preston contractors and fit-outs

The local head office supports projects around Lancashire and nationwide. That combination — real Preston headquarters plus national technical capability — is the reason this page exists. Commercial work in other cities sits on the dedicated location pages, not as a directory of cloned copy.
Plan the installation around the building
Give us the access and operational requirements early. Survey and installation planning should account for working hours, public or staff access, high-level equipment, other trades and any areas that cannot be taken out of use. Harris Museum shows roof-glazing and high-level work. Preston Bus Station shows a construction environment. Royal Preston Hospital shows a live healthcare department. None of those is a promise of zero disruption.

Phased and out-of-hours work
Evening, weekend or phased installation can be considered where practical and agreed in the access window. We do not promise zero downtime, no disruption, or that installation never affects operations.
One specification across several Lancashire sites
FM providers, care groups, education estates, healthcare, retail, industrial and commercial estates and corporate groups can use a central specification, artwork control, site-specific surveys, consistent production, programme coordination and handover records. See facilities management, industrial and commercial and construction and fit-out. We do not claim named Lancashire rollout clients beyond the published project record.

Questions about commercial work in Preston
Is Lustalux based in Preston?
Yes. Preston is our home. Our head office is at A2 & A3 Anchorage Business Park, Chain Caul Way, Preston, PR2 2YL, and we deliver specialist commercial projects from there, both locally and across the UK.
Where is your Preston office?
You'll find us at Lustalux Head Office, A2 & A3 Anchorage Business Park, Chain Caul Way, Preston, PR2 2YL. Call us on 01772 726622, Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm.
Do you install commercial window film across Preston and Lancashire?
Yes. We survey and install commercial window film, signage, graphics and architectural film across Preston, Lancashire and the wider North West, as well as nationwide. Send us the project postcode, the scope and your access requirements, and we'll confirm the right survey and installation route.
Can you survey commercial glazing in Preston?
Yes, where the project needs one. A survey usually confirms the glass type, dimensions, orientation, any existing film, access and what the building needs the glazing to do before we specify anything.
Can solar film reduce heat and glare?
Yes, the right solar-control film can cut solar heat gain and glare through suitable glazing. How much depends on the product we specify and the glass you already have, so we'd rather assess your glazing than promise you a temperature drop or an energy saving up front. At the Harris Museum we specified Sentinel Stainless Steel 15 OSW around measured light levels — those figures apply to that film on that building.
Can you install privacy film in Preston offices?
Yes. We can specify frost, gradient, reeded, coloured reeded and other decorative treatments around the privacy, daylight and appearance you need. Worth knowing: reflective film works with the light, so it won't give you privacy around the clock.
Can you install manifestation for Preston fit-outs?
Yes. We design standard and bespoke manifestation around the glazing-visibility requirements that apply and the wider project design — frosted bands, patterns, logos, typography or combined privacy treatments. Decorative film isn't automatically Building Regulations compliant whatever the layout, so we confirm the detail at specification stage.
Can safety film be installed on existing glass?
Often, yes — but the existing glass, framing, any current film, the attachment, the location and the performance you need all have to be reviewed first. There are tested systems for defined impact, fragment-retention and specialist security requirements, though no film makes glass unbreakable or rules out injury.
Do you manufacture commercial signage in Preston?
Yes. We design, manufacture and install internal, external, illuminated and wayfinding signage from our Preston headquarters. For CPC we made three flex-face LED signs — the largest 15m × 3m — and refurbished an existing illuminated sign.
Can architectural film refurbish existing doors and counters?
Usually, yes, as long as the underlying substrate is sound. At David Thomas's Preston salon we resurfaced the existing reception desk with architectural film to a tight pre-opening deadline, and at Royal Preston Hospital we resurfaced the A&E reception desk while the department stayed open for most of the work. Those are specific projects rather than a guide to cost or downtime on yours.
Can you work in occupied healthcare or public buildings?
Plenty of installations can be phased around a working building, depending on the scope and access. At Royal Preston Hospital A&E we delivered graphics and architectural film in a live department, and the Harris Museum and Preston Bus Station involved high-level and construction-environment working. None of that means zero disruption, but it does mean we plan for it.
Do you work on listed buildings?
Yes. We've contributed specialist film, graphics and signage to listed-building projects in Preston, including the Harris Museum, Preston Bus Station and the Covered Market. Whatever we propose still has to fit the wider conservation and project requirements and any approvals held by the building owner, architect or conservation officer — we can't grant listed-building consent ourselves.
Can you manage several Lancashire sites?
Yes, depending on the scope. FM providers, care groups, education estates, healthcare, retail, industrial and commercial portfolios can work to a central specification, artwork control, site-by-site surveys, consistent production, coordinated programming and handover records.
Office, retail and sports occupier briefs remain on offices and corporate, retail and sports and leisure. Window graphics and wall graphics sit on window graphics and wall graphics.
Planning a commercial project in Preston?
Tell our Preston team what the building needs to achieve. Send us the postcode, photographs or project drawings and whether the requirement is solar control, privacy, glass manifestation, specialist safety film, commercial signage or architectural-film refurbishment. We'll review the scope and confirm the appropriate survey and installation route. Artwork and drawings can be described in the enquiry or sent once we are in contact — the current form does not accept file uploads.
