project details

Hulton House is a 74-bed nursing home on the outskirts of Preston offering residential, dementia nursing and dementia plus care. Lustalux was appointed to specify, manufacture and install a finishing package across signs, glass and graphics.

The design team created a series of high-street-themed environmental graphics — shops, cafes, residential streets, public transport and road signs — printed and installed in-house around the provider's interior brief. The intent was a more familiar, residential setting. Graphics of this kind are not a clinical dementia treatment, and content should always be selected with the care provider.

The same project also included stainless steel flat cut letters and logos, car park signage, glazing manifestation, acrylic room numbers and signs, and external totem and building signs. For care-home window film, signage and refurbishment across residential and nursing environments, see full-site care-home signage and graphics. For commercial work from Lustalux's Preston headquarters, see Preston nursing-home signage.

our approach

1

Environment-led design

Graphics and identification were developed around the provider's interior brief — shops, cafes and public transport as familiar local references, not as a clinical dementia treatment.

2

Material specification

Marine-grade stainless steel and acrylic identification specified around durability and a residential aesthetic.

3

Full-site implementation

Delivering everything from car-park signs to individual room identifiers in a single, cohesive project.
