Reeded Window Film
Sometimes called Fluted glass, this reeded film is a textured stripe finish molded into the glass surface. Multiple flutes are side-by-side with a common 1/2-inch or 1/4-inch spacing. The pattern bends light as it passes through the glass and this obscures your vision. Fluted Glass Film replicates the effect of the traditional molded glass and can be applied to any flat glass surface or window.
If you want to give your glass the retro look this is the film for you. The stripes or reeds run vertically up the film roll and can be ordered in various cut lengths to suit your requirements. Available in two roll widths of 54” and 27” (137cm and 68.5cm) and two “reed” widths of 1/2” and 1/4” (1.2cm and 0.6cm) and is easy to install following the instructions and using the simple tools required.

Textured Glass Trends
The popularity of this type of “retro” feel has soared in recent times creating a demand for fluted glass or our retrofitted fluted window film. Our adhesive film can be installed on existing glazing for mood creation, as window manifestation to make glass visible or purely to provide an element of privacy through glazed doors or screens and partitions.

With the continued proliferation of interior and exterior design and television show coverage, we are seeing a growing demand for our retro and contemporary style designs of vinyl window tint. It can be used on glass partitions and doors, shower screen, Kitchen cabinet glazing.
Can you see Through Reeded Window Film?
No, you cannot see through fluted glass film, the reeded flutes refract and distorts shapes and colours, it is practically impossible to work out figures, furniture and faces. If someone is stood directly looking into the fluted film, it might create a blurred shape of their face, but anything at a slight distance cannot be seen so even if someone is looking in, they wouldn’t be able to see the room. It is an ideal bathroom privacy film as it provides plenty of privacy while still allowing for plenty of natural sunlight. We offer ½” reeds which is practically impossible to see through, but if you wanted extra security you would benefit from our ¼” reeded privacy film which has even smaller reeds for extra distortion.
Does Reeded Glass Film let in less Light?
Not at all. The best thing about our reeded privacy film is that it doesn’t reduce natural sunlight. It bends and distorts the sunlight but still allows your room to be brightened up during the day.
