Art Nouveau

We’re always adding new designs to our Art Nouveau stained glass window film range. This French style was often adopted by Scottish Stained Glass manufacturers.

The Art Nouveau style is similar to 1920s Art Deco and continued into the 1930s. At the time, this style of stained glass was considered a modern, futuristic look.

Away from stained glass windows, Art Nouveau glass included many decorative objects such as vases and lamps. The Glass was typically made by hand and coloured with metal oxides while in a molten state.

What Does Stained Glass Window Film Look Like from the Outside?

Stained glass film during the day is darker from the outside than inside but are still clear to see. This is due to the natural sunlight shining into your home, so you receive more colours and brightness inside. At nighttime when your home lights are on our stained glass films look exceptional, they glow up adding bold colours and style to the view outside your home with the design and colours being clear to see. You'll be pleasantly surprised at how bright our stained glass films get at night.

Can You Put Stained Glass in Double Glazing?

Our stained glass window films can go either on the outside of double glazing (recommended to be installed internally) Or if you wanted to keep it clear from debris then it can be installed inside of double glazing itself, this will need to be done before the double glazing windows are fitted onto your window frame as once it is on you would not be able to fit the window film inside the glazing.

Most of our window films are usually installed on the pane of glass that is inside your home, not in-between double glazing, but if you required this it can be done but we would recommend having your window fitters assist you with this.
