FROSTED WINDOW FILM.
Frosted Window Film is a very effective way to provide round the clock privacy. With the frosted day and night privacy film, etched or sand blast appearance both inward and outward vision can be obscured simply and quickly. Maintenance is extremely minimal and there is no noticeable loss of natural light through your windows. In the case of sash windows, a popular practice is to apply the frosted film to the lower sash thereby still allowing vison out through the upper sash but preventing prying eyes through the lower sash – ideal if your windows are close to a pavement or public right of way.

One Way Privacy Film is a reflective or “mirror” film designed to deal with the effects of solar heat and glare and is commonly known as solar control film. Depending on the density of the mirrored film you chose, combined with internal and external light levels and times of day, this reflective window coating will provide excellent daytime privacy. This effect is largely reversed when it is dark outside, and the lights are on inside.
The added benefit of the mirrored solar films is that they provide excellent heat and glare reduction as well as filtering out over 99% of UV which is the primary cause of fade damage to furnishings and artefacts, this is why many call it anti-heat film.

Can Window Film Reduce Heat in a Room?
Not all of our window films are designed to reduce heat. If you are looking to cool down your room this summer, you will need our Reflective Window Covering. This one way mirror film is designed to reflect sunrays away from your windows, which is one of the main reasons your room heats up. This solar film comes in a range of options and external for extreme heat issues. Window film is one of the easiest, quickest and most cost effective ways to cool down a room quickly and effectively. It is highly effective with rooms that receive direct sunlight but still effective in other rooms. Can you see Through Mirror Window Film at Night?
Mirror window film is known as a "day-time privacy film" or "one way glass film", but it is really designed for solar control which has the added benefit of privacy due to its reflective coating. Our mirror films feature a one way mirror effect, the brightest side has the mirror, so in the daytime you would be able to see out and no one can see in, but at night when your lights are on indoors this effect will flip and you would not be able to see out but people can see in. How do I Make Windows Private but Still let in Light?
For complete privacy that allows for full natural light depends on the type of glass film you choose. Here is the best 24hr window privacy films and their benefits:
- Reeded glass film allows for complete privacy by abstracting the view yet still provides fully natural light to enter. It is an ideal window film for bathrooms and spaces where you want to focus on privacy. A benefit of our fluted glass film is that we have a wide range of colour options to match your home interior or office design.
- Frosted film is one of the best window films to achieve home privacy. It provides a frosted etched effect so you can’t see in or out. The opaque style of this film lightens spaces and softens harsh sunlight to reduce some glare. We have a wide range of glass frost film options like our window film frames or centrepiece designs if you want to add some style. But we do recommend for complete privacy to choose one of the colour options and not the clear.
- Our range of reflective window coatings (otherwise known as one way window film) can reduce natural sunlight depending on the level you choose. Our 50% silver reflective film has a lighter tint but also has a lower “reflective effect" so is not completely ideal if you want to focus on privacy. Whereas our 80% silver window privacy film has a darker window tint but offers much more daytime privacy. These reflector films for windows are more designed for heat control with the added benefit of privacy. So, we do need to make you aware that these only provide daytime privacy and we recommend you use blinds or curtains at night.
