Stained Glass Window Film

Stained glass is created with lead and separate-coloured panes soldered together to create unique designs. Highly popular in the Victorian era to show off skill and wealth, these stained glass window designs can range from central simplistic motifs to complex, storytelling art pieces. Due to the intricate way real stained glass is made it can be costly. But at Lustalux, we’ve created different and unique stained glass films that were inspired by different glass art pieces around the world that are suitable for any home and budget. We create individual designs in a range of window shapes that are common in modern homes and print them onto high quality materials to replicate traditional stained glass windows at an affordable price.

How is Stained Glass Film made at Lustalux?

All our window patterns can be manufactured to your measurements and are never stretched to fit. We instead take the measurements the customer has provided, take apart the chosen design and put the stained-glass design back together to fit their shape perfectly. Each design is somewhat unique to each customer in this way and will very rarely look the same. You can choose from two window film backgrounds, clear for style and transparency or a frosted background to create privacy window film.

Is Stained Glass Window Film for you?

The benefit of stained-glass window film at Lustalux is the variety. We offer clear or frosted backgrounds, so you can choose partial privacy with clear or complete privacy with frosted. It is also made to add colour to your home, which can brighten your interior and match your décor. Did we mention the beautiful glow you’d get at day and night? When your light is on inside and it is dark outside, you’ll be surprised how bright these films can look.

Stained glass window films also have other benefits, unlike permanent real stained glass, our window stickers are much more affordable and can be removed at any time. They are not re-usable but if you did want to change them or remove them you would not do any damage to your windows.

We also have a range of stained glass house numbers if you’re looking to add a bold and easy to read number to your home. This can help with misplaced parcels and letters.

Instructions are included with all ordered which are simple and easy to follow. All you need is a spray bottle with soapy water, a clean cloth, scraper and squeegee to clean the glass.

Follow the steps below for the best installation.

  1. Ensure the glass is cleaned thoroughly before adding the film.
  2. Pull the backing off the film slowly and spray with the soapy water.
  3. Be sure to drench the window and the film with soapy water and gently place the film on the window.
  4. Move the film so it is in the correct position and squeegee the water out of the film starting from the middle.
  5. Check each corner of the film and ensure all the water is removed. Gently dry clean with a cloth.
