What are the different window film benefits?

Is Window Film Suitable for Rented Homes?

All of our window film products and privacy window film options are suitable for rented homes. They can be removed without causing damage to the window and frame. If removing our window film, we recommend using soapy water and slowly pull the film away from the window. If you have single glazed windows you will have to take extra care. Once the glass film is removed you can scrape any residue off the window and wipe it clean.

Is Window Film Cost Effective?

Window film is much more cost effective than replacing actual glass panes, it is also much quicker to install and can be changed easily if required. Depending on the window film used it can reduce your energy bills, our reflective window film for example reduces the heat coming through your windows in summer, drastically cooling a hot room, but it can also retain heat in winter, helping your room hold onto heat for longer. 

What is The Best Privacy Film for Bathrooms?

Our frosted window film is best for bathroom privacy. A benefit of our frosted glass films is that it provides complete day and night time privacy while still providing plenty of natural sunlight to beam through. For window privacy with style, you can opt for our colour frame or centrepiece designs or for a simple look our white frosted bathroom film will be suitable. We also have our reeded glass film which is also a stylish privacy film for windows. It comes in a range of colours and reeded sizes. If you are after our reeded window film for privacy, then our 1/4" reeded glass film would be more suitable as it has more flutes to reduce visibility.

Our range of tinted anti-heat films provide optimal heat control; minimising the amount of heat which enters through the glass which makes spaces more comfortable, reduces glare which helps eye strain and improves visibility on computer screens, and offers UV protection to help protect furniture from fading. Our tinted glass film is ideal for offices and workspaces, along with heat or sun effected rooms. This window tint film does provide some window privacy through the tint, making it slightly harder to see into rooms at a glance, but this solar film is more for heat control. For something to completely block out sunlight and provide 24 hour privacy, you’ll benefit from our blackout window film.

How Do You Install Window Film?

Installing window film doesn't have to be daunting. We provide simple step by step instructions on how to install window film. For perfect installation of window film you must ensure your glass is cleaned thoroughly before adding the film. Spray the window with plenty of soapy water and slowly remove the backing from the window film, it makes it easier if you spray the back of the film with soapy water throughout. Slowly place the glass film onto your window and squeegee out the water, starting from the centre of the film. Once all the water and bubbles are removed from under the window film gently pat dry with a cloth and leave it. It should set pretty quickly, do not try to move once all the water is removed as this can damage or crease the window film.
