What are the Different Window Film benefits?

Is Window Film Suitable for Rented Homes?

All of our window covering products and window privacy options are suitable for rented homes. They can be removed without causing damage to the window and frame. If removing our glass sheet, we recommend using soapy water and slowly pull the film away from the window. If you have single glazed windows you will have to take extra care. Once the glass covering is removed you can scrape any residue off the window and wipe it clean.

Is Window Film Cost Effective?

Window transfers are much more cost effective than replacing actual glass panes, it is also much quicker to install and can be changed easily if required. Depending on the window covering used it can reduce your energy bills, our reflective film for example reduces the heat coming through your windows in summer, drastically cooling a hot room, but it can also retain heat in winter, helping your room hold onto heat for longer. 

What is The Best Privacy Film for Bathrooms?

Our white frosted film is best for bathroom privacy. A benefit of our frosted glass sheet is that it provides complete day and night time privacy while still providing plenty of natural sunlight to beam through. For window privacy with style, you can opt for our colour frame or centrepiece designs or for a simple look our white frosted bathroom film will be suitable. We also have our reeded glass transfers which is also a stylish privacy for windows. It comes in a range of colours and reeded sizes. If you are after this modern window film for privacy, then the 1/4" reeded glass film would be more suitable as it has more flutes to reduce even more visibility.

For something to completely block out sunlight and provide 24 hour privacy, you’ll benefit from our blackout window film, but we do recommend checking compatibility before ordering our window tints.

How Do You Install Window Film?

Installing film for windows doesn't have to be daunting. We provide simple step by step instructions on how to install window film. For perfect installation of adhesive window stickers, you must ensure your glass is cleaned thoroughly before adding the film. Spray the window with plenty of soapy water and slowly remove the backing from the glass vinyl, it makes it easier if you spray the back of the film with soapy water throughout. Slowly place the glass film onto your window and squeegee out the water, starting from the centre of the film. Once all the water and bubbles are removed from under the window transfer, gently pat dry with a cloth and leave it. It should set pretty quickly, do not try to move once all the water is removed as this can damage or crease the film.

Does Adhesive Window Film Damage your Windows?

Not at all! Our adhesive window coverings are made with a sticky adhesive backing, but most of the time when the adhesive glass film is removed no sticky residue is left behind. The only time you will have this is when you have your window sticker installed for many years and then decide to remove it, even then all you need to do is scrap of the adhesive which is a simple step, and then give your window a clean.

When it comes to our tinted films, these can cause damage to your windows due to the fact these window covers absorb heat, as long as you check the compatibility of your windows vs our window tints you will have no issues with spontaneous cracking or breakage.
